Rockville, MD –
The Reginald S.
Lourie Center
for Infants and Young Children (the Lourie
Center) is pleased to
announce the appointment of Eric B.H. Feldstein, Uzoma Onyeije, and Mona B.
Tavss to its Board of Directors.
Eric B.H.
Feldstein is currently an administrative vice president for M&T Bank
Corporation’s Greater Washington and Virginia
business banking market. Feldstein is a graduate of the executive master’s in
business administration (MBA) program at the Columbia University Graduate
School of Business. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration
from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree
from the University
of Buffalo.
Uzoma Onyeije is the president of Onyeije Consulting, LLC, a
regulatory and legal consulting firm based in Washington, DC.
Onyeije brings more than 15 years of
legal expertise and community leadership to the Lourie Center Board. Onyeije received his law degree from Howard
University School of Law where graduated cum laude. He holds a bachelor’s
degree from Oakwood
University. Onyeije is
also a member of the American, National and Federal Communications Bar
Associations.
Mona B. Tavss is an attorney and
long-time advocate for the Lourie
Center. Tavss has served as
a project manager for the National Peace Foundation and a court-appointed
special advocate for children. She also served as an attorney at the law firm
of Brault, Graham, Scott and Brault. Tavss holds a law degree from American University
and a bachelor ’s degree in law enforcement from the University of Maryland.

The Reginald S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young Children
was founded in 1983 by the late Dr. Reginald S. Lourie and his colleagues. The
organization evolved from a six-year clinical research project funded by the
National Institute of Mental Health. This project demonstrated the value of
early identification and intervention to enable children to reach their full
potential, developmentally and emotionally.
Based
in Rockville, Maryland
the Reginald S. Lourie Center specializes in the
assessment, treatment and prevention of emotional, behavioral and developmental
problems in infants and young children.
