Early Head Start Program Eligibility

In order to participate in Early Head Start, families must:

  • Be at or below Federal Poverty Guidelines or have a child with a diagnosed disability
  • Have a child under age 24 months, or be expecting a child
  • Live in the designated catchment areas in Montgomery County or Prince George's County:
Montgomery County Rockville, Silver Spring, Wheaton and Takoma Park


Prince George's County Adelphi, Hyattsville, Riverdale, Greenbelt, Bladensburg, Capital Heights, Landover, Lanham, College Park, Beltsville, New Carollton, Cheverly, Brentwood and Mt. Ranier

Children may participate in Early Head Start until three years of age.
