The Lourie Center’s Before and After School Program is committed to
fostering young children’s ability to safely and effectively cope with
the typical developmental challenges and promote their social-emotional
health and educational achievements through positive self-expression.
The program is designed to:

  1. provide a positive, child-centered environment to support self-esteem, positive peer relations, and interest and enjoyment of learning;
  2. provide an atmosphere of nurturance and security that promotes individual achievement through the creative channels of the expressive arts based on values of cooperation, diversity, and service;
  3. strengthen families by working together with parents and engaging parents’ active participation in program development. We look forward to contributing to a stronger community by promoting healthy development and growth of children and families.
