.Elizabeth
Franzino serves as the development director of The
Reginald S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young
Children, an organization affiliated with Adventist
HealthCare. In this role, Elizabeth conducts fundraising
activities for the Lourie Center and is involved
in the communications of Lourie Center activities
to external and internal audiences.
Elizabeth
joined the Lourie Center team at the end of 2007.
Prior to joining the Lourie Center, Elizabeth was
the assistant director of development for the Corporate
and Foundation Relations program of Georgetown University.
Elizabeth's variety of responsibilities included
coordinating the submission of proposals to private
foundations and corporations from across the university
and collaborating with university faculty and administrators
in planning, writing and editing proposals. As well,
Elizabeth has experience in development and grant
writing from the Lab School of Washington.
Elizabeth
earned a bachelor's and master's degree in classics
from Cornell University and the University of Virginia,
respectively. She has a strong background and expertise
in the classics, with publishing, presenting, research
and teaching experience.
