.Sheryl
Tidd serves as the program director of The Reginald
S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young Children's
Early Head Start (EHS) program. Since 2007, Sheryl
has overseen the different aspects of EHS, which
provides comprehensive child and family development
services to low-income families with young children.
Her responsibilities include preparing the annual
budget and work plan, preparing grant applications,
overseeing staff development and developing partnership
agreements with other agencies.
Sheryl
has been with the Lourie Center since 2001. Joining
the team as a family development specialist for
EHS, Sheryl began by visiting the families enrolled
in the program, providing resources to the families
and educating parents on child development. Sheryl
later served as a home visitor supervisor in EHS,
providing administrative supervision of staff in
the program. Prior to joining the Lourie Center,
Sheryl worked as a foster care social worker for
the Department of Social Services in Baltimore,
Maryland and as a child care counselor for St. Vincent's
Center in Baltimore.
Sheryl
earned a master's degree in social work and a bachelor's
degree in social work and health and science policy
from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
